Kelly Nielsen

Education & Outreach Manager, Autism Action Partnership

Kelly Nielsen was born and raised in Omaha and is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha. As a former special education teacher, she brings firsthand experience supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families. In her role as Education & Outreach Manager at Autism Action Partnership, Kelly develops and leads training, technical assistance, and consultation to equip professionals, educators, and community organizations with tools to create more inclusive spaces.

She also supports the COMPASS Partner program, helping evaluate inclusive practices and recognize venues committed to ongoing improvement. Her passion for this work is deeply personal, as the mother of a son with autism, and she is dedicated to fostering understanding and belonging for all.
